An important part of Private Forests Tasmania’s Stems for CO2 Project is to communicate the benefits of planting trees on farms for timber and carbon to Tasmanian farmers, landowners and agricultural producers.

Alongside the development of case studies, articles and sharing the stories of participating farmers at events including Agfest and field days, Private Forests Tasmania has worked with local businesses to design and install signage at its St Peters Pass, Oatlands Stems for CO2 Project planting site, on farmer Dougal Morrison and his family’s property. More signage will be installed at St Marys, on participating farmer Alison Napier’s property soon.

Next time you are driving north or south on the Midlands Highway, make sure to look out for the sign.
