Carbon Forestry 101 is coming to Longford, Wednesday 12 August! An event for farmers and landowners in Tasmania.
Private Forests Tasmania’s Carbon Forestry 101 project is coming to Longford this August for Tasmanian farmers and landowners to learn about all things carbon forestry.
This event supports farmers thinking about the sustainability of their supply chains and explains how carbon forestry projects can demonstrate offsets from emissions generated on their farms.
Attendees will work through an hour-long presentation focussing on the basics of carbon forestry including carbon science, carbon markets, carbon project governance and methodologies including the Plantation Forestry Method and the Environmental and Mallee Plantings Method. They will also receive specially developed resources which focus on simplifying the complex science and unpacking key jargon terms.
