Private Forests Tasmania welcomes communications manager Courtnet Hayles

Courtney Hayles has recently joined Private Forests Tasmania as Communications Manager.

Courtney has spent more than 12 years in the media industry including roles as a journalist and editor at The Advocate, and most recently editor of The Examiner. She will work closely with the talented PFT team and stakeholders to help deliver the goals to expand private forestry and communicate the benefits of wood.

Courtney was born and raised in Burnie, and studied at the University of Tasmania with a major in Journalism, Media and Communications, and Political Science. She now lives in Launceston with her husband Jai, son Ted, and their fur-babies.

Courtney works in the Prospect office. She is looking forward to building on the strength of the Tree Alliance campaign and working with many different industries and individuals to share the message that the right trees in the right place can improve both our ecology and economy.
